Indian Wedding Planner and Master Budget: Events, Vendors, Guests and Shagun

Families planning an Indian wedding across several events, and independent wedding planners running client weddings, can put the budget, vendors, guest list and gift register in one file instead of five notebooks. A fictional sample wedding (Sample: Aditi and Karan, Jaipur) shows every sheet filled in, with one category deliberately over plan so you can see how the warnings work.

What's inside

• Indian-Wedding-Planner-Budget-v1.0.xlsx: 13 sheets (Start Here, Settings, Events, Master Budget, Vendors, Payments, Due Payments, Guest List, Headcount, Shagun Register, Timeline, Dashboard, Lists) with the fictional sample wedding and clear-sample instructions
• Indian-Wedding-Planner-Printables.pdf: 17 A4 pages to print and carry to the venue, designed for black-and-white printing and handwriting
• Indian-Wedding-Planner-Guide.pdf: 15 A4 pages covering setup, the family cost split, every sheet, the printables and using the file in Google Sheets

How to use it

1. On Settings, name the wedding, set the date, the two families' labels, the overall budget and the cost-split method (by event or by category).
2. Add up to 12 events, 80 vendors and their contract amounts, and log payments as they happen; Master Budget shows planned, committed, paid and the balance for each family.
3. Add guests, mark RSVPs per event, and record gifts on Shagun Register as they arrive; Headcount, Due Payments and Dashboard update as you go.

Requirements

• Microsoft Excel 2010 or later. The workbook uses only functions that Google Sheets also supports; see "Using this in Google Sheets" in the guide.

Good to know

• Events, categories and family labels are editable for any tradition; the guide shows a South Indian sequence and a registered civil marriage as examples. It gives no ritual, muhurat or horoscope guidance, and does not record or accommodate dowry in any form.
