Content & Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1, last updated Sep 15, 2026
This policy sets the standards for what may be listed, posted and done on the Nmjoy marketplace. It applies to every seller, buyer and visitor, and forms part of our Terms of Service and Seller Agreement.
1. Purpose and scope
Nmjoy ("we", "us") hosts products listed by independent sellers and content posted by users, as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act 2000. We do not review every product before it is listed, so these rules exist to make clear what is allowed, what is not, and what happens when the rules are broken. This policy covers product listings and files, store pages, reviews, questions and answers, reports, and the way you use the marketplace generally.
2. Listing standards
Every listing must be honest and complete. A seller must:
- Use a title, description, category and tags that accurately describe the product and do not imitate another seller's product or brand.
- Show previews, screenshots and samples that are taken from the actual product and represent what the buyer will receive.
- Deliver working files in the formats described, free of malware, and of the quality shown in the previews.
- Disclose clearly in the description where a product was generated by, or created with substantial assistance from, an artificial-intelligence tool, and hold the rights needed to sell it.
- Attach only a licence from our Licence Terms that the seller is entitled to grant.
- Avoid misleading scarcity or urgency, such as false claims of limited copies, fake countdowns or invented discounts.
- Keep the listing up to date and remove it when the seller no longer has the right to sell it.
3. Prohibited products
The following may not be listed or sold on the marketplace, regardless of how they are described:
Infringing or unlicensed content. Products that copy, include or are derived from work the seller does not own or hold a licence to sell; fonts, stock media, code or templates redistributed against their licence; products using trademarks, characters or brands without permission.
Resale bundles and reuploads. Private-label-rights, master-resell-rights or "resell rights" bundles; collections of other people's work; reuploads of products from this or any other marketplace.
Malicious or circumvention software. Malware, spyware, cracks, keygens, licence-bypass tools, exploits, game cheats, bots that violate a platform's terms, and tools designed to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts.
Adult sexual content. Pornography, sexually explicit material, and content that sexualises minors in any form.
Weapons, explosives and drugs. Firearms, firearm parts and blueprints, explosives, instructions for making weapons, illegal drugs, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Gambling. Lotteries, betting systems, casino-style products and anything that offers a chance to win money or prizes for a stake.
Financial products and schemes. Investment advice or products, securities, loans, investment or multi-level-marketing schemes, get-rich-quick programmes, and the sale of cryptocurrency, tokens or NFTs.
Regulated goods. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dietary supplements, tobacco, vaping products and alcohol, including instructions or kits for producing them.
Personal data and surveillance tools. Databases of personal information, scraped or harvested datasets, contact lists, doxxing tools and software whose purpose is to track or monitor people without their knowledge.
Harmful content. Content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, hatred or discrimination against a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic, or that encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
Deceptive services. Fake reviews, followers, likes or engagement; forged or unearned diplomas, certificates and credentials; fake identification documents; phishing kits and templates for fraud.
Anything unlawful. Any product whose sale, possession or use is illegal in India, or that breaches the acceptable-use rules of our payment provider.
Content prohibited by the IT Rules 2021. Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 also prohibits content that is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic or invasive of another's privacy; insulting or harassing on the basis of gender; racially or ethnically objectionable; encouraging money laundering or gambling; harmful to children; deceptive about the origin of a message or knowingly false; threatening the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states or public order; or inciting the commission of an offence. Nothing of that kind may be listed or posted.
We may remove a listing that is not on this list where we reasonably consider it harmful, fraudulent or likely to expose the marketplace, its users or our providers to legal or financial risk.
4. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Post, solicit or purchase reviews or ratings, review your own products or those of a competitor, or offer anything in exchange for a review.
- Create or use more than one account to evade a suspension, ban or other enforcement action, or to manipulate rankings.
- Direct buyers off the marketplace to complete a purchase, or otherwise arrange a sale so as to avoid our fees or payment process.
- Send unsolicited or repetitive messages, or post promotional content in reviews, questions or answers.
- Harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against another user, or publish another person's private information, including intimate images or morphed images of them.
- Impersonate any person, seller or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the marketplace, its listings or its users' content, or interfere with the marketplace's operation or security.
- Upload files containing malware, or attempt to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
5. Reviews, questions and answers
Reviews must reflect the reviewer's own honest experience of the product. Questions must relate to the product, and answers must be truthful. Reviews, questions and answers must not contain personal information about anyone, promotional content, links to other stores, or abusive language. Sellers may respond to reviews and questions but must not pressure a buyer to change or remove a review. We may remove any review, question or answer that breaches this policy, and we do not remove a review merely because a seller disagrees with it.
6. Reporting
Anyone can report a product, seller, review, question or answer using the report form on the item's page, or by writing to our Grievance Officer, Nmjoy Grievance Officer (grievance@nmjoy.com). Report types include copyright, trademark, plagiarism, counterfeit, prohibited content, fraud, abuse and spam. A report should explain what is wrong and include links to any evidence.
When we receive a report, we acknowledge it within 24 hours, review the item, may temporarily restrict it while we review, and decide within 15 days whether it breaches this policy or the law. Where the report is from a person shown, or impersonated, in intimate or sexual content or in a morphed image, we remove the content within 24 hours of the complaint. Where a court or a government agency lawfully orders removal, we comply within 36 hours. We record every decision with its reason, notify the reporter of the outcome, and notify the affected user as described in section 7. Reports must be made in good faith: filing reports that are knowingly false, repetitive or intended to harass a seller or user is itself a breach of this policy.
7. Enforcement
Depending on the seriousness and frequency of a breach, we may warn the user, remove or delist the content, suspend the account or store, or ban it permanently. Serious breaches, including the sale of malware, sexual content involving minors, fraud, and repeated infringement of others' intellectual property, result in a ban without prior warning.
Every enforcement decision is recorded with the reason for it. We notify the affected user of the decision, the reason, and the facts it is based on, and tell them how to contest it, unless the law prevents us from doing so. A user may contest a decision by replying to the notice or writing to the Grievance Officer. A person who was not involved in the original decision reviews the contest and confirms, changes or reverses the decision. Where a store is banned, pending earnings are handled as set out in the Seller Agreement.
8. Changes
We publish every version of this policy, numbered and dated. Where a change materially restricts what may be listed or done, we notify sellers before it takes effect. This is version 1.
